New Species of Jellyfish Discovered – by a nine year old!

Hey again

For those that are interested: http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2013/03/27/3724855.htm

Basically, a new species of jellyfish has been discovered in a canal on the Gold Coast in Australia – by a nine year old. It’s great that the little tacker had the observational ability to notice that something was different about his new discovery.

Originally thought  to be the Chironex fleckeri box jellyfish (the one that kills people and can only be compared to JAWS) this new species of jellyfish isn’t thought to pack as much of a punch.

Now the big questions is “Will the Commonwealth Games mascot be a jellyfish?”. My thoughts – probably not.
